About Me.
I am a professional with over 15 years of experience in air transport management. My academic research and advisory activities include, among others, strategy, airline networks, airport connectivity, route development, airport strategic management, and sustainability.
Currently, I am an Associate Professor in Business and Economics at the Open University of Catalonia (Spain), Senior Lecturer in Air Transport Management at Cranfield University (UK), and Graduate Faculty at Central Washington University (USA). In the past, I have worked at other universities in Spain and The Netherlands. I have published over 40 peer-reviewed papers and participated in over 70 conferences. As an academic, I am accredited in the UK as a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and as a Full Professor by the Catalan Agency of University Quality (AQU).
I have led aviation advisory projects for various clients (airlines, airports and governments) in different settings worldwide. Also, I am a solid communicator with a proven capacity to convey complex messages with clarity to different audiences, e.g., industry conferences, executive and board level, high-level political forums, and I have widely contributed to international press and media (e.g., The Wall Street Journal, CNN, Forbes, BBC, La Vanguardia, etc.). My industrial knowledge and practice are accredited by the Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (UK).
